I turned 51 today. Parents and I drove up to Denver to celebrate. Went to World Market where I had a 15% off non-food items, and 10% off food items coupon that I got for my bday. Mom bought me 8 custard baking dishes for .99/each using the coupon. When I signed up for the World Market deal they were giving $10/$10 coupons, that was a much better deal. We saved $1.20 with the 15% coupon.
I picked out a couple more items at the Container Store for my bday. They have acrylic shoe boxes with pullout drawers that I use for organizing my linen closet. I have 8 but wanted 2 more.
Next we went to Red Robin and I got my free bday burgeer - $9.60. I left a 15% tip. Mom and Dad also used their Red Robin card and since Dad just registered his this week he got a free appetizer - value $8.99.
We went to the fancy mall up there and stopped at Sephora where I got free sugar lipstick and chapstick for my bday. I'm not sure why someone would put sugar in either lipstick or chapstick. I'd keep the chapstick if it weren't for the sugar. I'll see if my nieces want them. Not sure what the value was. I was supposed to get a full sized bottle of lotion, which I could have used, but they changed their freebie the first of the year.
We stopped at the outlet malls in Castle Rock on the way home. Mom got me a pairing knife and a large bottle of lemon extract. I ended up spending less than $12 for the whole day.
I got 50 swagbucks for my birthday also.
I got my order from VitaCost when I got home with my 2 free samples. The breakfast bar goes to my niece and I'll keep the moisturizer sample.
I finished reading the library book The Affair by Lee Child. Mystery - very good.
