monsoon season

July 10th, 2011 at 08:39 pm

It's monsoon season here. What that means is that in the morning it gets to 90 degrees and then around the noon the clouds come in and we get a massive downpour for 10 - 20 minutes. As much as an inch at a time, with winds upto 70 mph and sometimes hail and a lot of thunder and lightening. Then it stays cloudy and we might get another 1 or 2 storms before midnight. We should get a couple weeks of this.

Personally I love it. I like watching lightening and I'm very happy when it cools down. I have been getting up early to walk, so haven't had to deal with the rain yet for that.

We didn't make it to Rosie's the other night. Mom didn't get home till after 7, so I just fixed bacon and eggs for myself at home. Still good.

I finished reading my book Ruthless Game by Christine Feehan. Paranormal - excellent.

I loved monsoon season. It was the only part of the summer I looked forward to when I lived in the southwest.
