All You grocery challenge

June 9th, 2010 at 08:50 pm

All You magazine is sponsoring a grocery challenge. They did this last year too and it was pretty interesting following some of the blogs about it. Basically the rules are you can spend $25 per week, per family member for one month. Then you track what you spend and what you eat. This includes eating out. If it weren't for the eating out part I could easily spend less than $25 a week on groceries Smile You are also judged on creativity and how healty you eat. You can eat from gardens or stockpiles, you can use coupons, sales etc. The winner gets a $1000 grocery card. It's pretty interesting.

I also read this on Common Sense with money blog today for anyone who does swagbucks.

"Swagbucks is offering 50 free Swagbucks on your birthday. Just hop on over the the Swagbucks homepage to record your birth date (or you could do it under account details too), and you will get the free bucks on your birthday. How is that for a birthday present?"

I finished reading the library book Fire Along the Sky by Sara Donati. Historical - excellent.
