I've been thinking alot lately about needing to update my financial notebook. I moved a lot of money around in the last month, opened new cds with a new bank, bought some more I-bonds and got a new credit card. My notebook hasn't been updated in more than a year. With all the accounts that are totally online anymore, where you don't get printed statements in the mail, someone coming in after I'm dead would have a terrible time finding some of my assets without help. Several of my accounts don't even send you tax information anymore, you have to go to their site to print it. My parents can do some basic things on the computer, but they really need to be spelled out for them to be able to access many of the financial websites that ask you security questions and type in passwords etc. It would be very difficult for them. I do print out statements at least every quarter so that would be somewhere to start.
Anyways, while wandering around on Dollar Stretcher I came across this article that I thought was rather timely.
Now if I would just sit down and actually do the updates
I finished reading my book Damia's Children by Anne McCaffrey. Sci/Fi - ok
