ISP blocking site?

March 30th, 2006 at 03:53 am

I still can't get to the site today unless I try through my works VPN. If I'm outside of the VPN I get page cannot be displayed. I don't know if my ISP is blocking the site or what the problem is. If I can't figure it out, I'll probably have to stop visiting very often. I shouldn't be going through the companies VPN even though it's on my own time.

Walked with mom 55 min today.

Yesterday went into town and spent $13.95 at Staples. I had an old ink cartridge so got $3 off. I bought a new plastic floor protector for under my desk chair. Mine was breaking up into little pieces. It's 4 years old.

I went to Bed, Bath n Beyond and got a cool expandable strainer. I make pasta a lot so this strainer is very neat because it folds flat and doesn't take a lot of room in your cupboards. It was $14.99 and I had a $5 off $15 purchase so I bought a cheap piece of candy to make it over $15. Spent $11.92

I got my passport today. I think it's about 4 weeks since I sent it off. I also got a free Purpose moisturizer sample from WalMart and a $20 rebate for my computer.

Really odd you still can't get to the site. Let me know tomorrow if you're still having problems. There are a couple things you can try that sometimes fixes it.

    Dear retire@50,

Please keep up your blog. You are a great inspiration to me! Also, it is fun to read every day. I intend to follow your example in three main areas.

Goals: I admire how you set monthly goals for spending, saving, lifestyle, etc. Were you doing this before you set up your blog?

Spending: You list your daily spending. How do you keep track of those expenses? Just check your receipts at the end of the day?

Funds: From reading your postings, I see that you have several different "funds", such as gifts/charity, extra, short-term, home maintenance, etc. Would you mind listing them all? I think I could learn a lot about being prepared for everything.

    thanks
    Pam

    Pam,

Yes, I've always been a goal oriented person. I had written goals for my 9th grade summer vacation. I find that by making goals I get more accomplished.

As far as reciepts I have a spreadsheet that I enter them into each day. I just keep them in one place. I usually only have one or two days a week with several reciepts so it's not that big a deal.

I'll list the different funds in a future post.

Thanks for the feedback and I'm glad you read the blog
