No other financial news today.

I watched the Biggest Loser tonight. 14 people go on national television to lose weight and the one who loses the most wins $250,000. I have to admit this show fascinates me. One I am overweight and it's the one area of my life I can't seem to control. I'm happy with every other area, but this one kicks my butt over and over, so I'm interested in watching other people tackle and win in this area. I like to watch the Discovery Body Challenge too. Two I can't imagine baring my soul, let alone my body on national television. The blogging is annonymous so it's much easier to bare yourself, (so to speak) in this format, so watching these people's emotional issues regarding their weight speak loudly to me. Three the winner gets $250,000 and basically a new life and body and this seems to happen overnight, or at least very quickly. I think everyone fantasizes about winning the lottery or losing 20 lbs in a week, so it's a way of putting yourself into their shoes and wondering what if.... or maybe I could...

Read the library book The Speed of Dark by Elizabeth Moon. A Novel. This book was really interesting. It was about an autistic man and how he perceives the world. This isn't my normal type of book. I read it because I like Science Fiction books by Elizabeth Moon, but this is a different Elizabeth Moon and I didn't realize that when I put it on hold at the library but once I started reading it I was hooked from the first page.
