I am 45 and single. I've been working towards retirement since I was 25. My first 15 years of working I didn't make a lot of money, between 6 and 30K per year but even then I saved over 25% of my salary each year. The last few years I've made a lot more and I'm saving around 35% of my salary. My goal is to be able to retire by the time I am 50.

I sent my two weeks notice this morning. Last day is August 1st. So far no comment from boss....
