snowing again

November 15th, 2005 at 05:07 am

walked with mom for 30 min.

Went to the post office to mail the half.com book and pick up some discounted gift cards that they wouldn't deliver to my house. Spent $1.42

My Low Fuel light was blinking on the way home from walking with mom. I try to get gas in town when I go because it's cheaper. I was supposed to go in town yesterday and would have filled up then, but everything is messed up with my grandpa's death, so I didn't make it into town. I got $5 of gas here thinking I would get some when I go into work tomorrow, but now it's snowing and extremely icy so I probably won't go in. Maybe later in the week but I'll probably have to get some more gas first. Paid 2.35/gal for gas.

Total spent so far this month = $281.54

I sold another book on half.com this evening for $2.00

I finished reading the library book The Protector's War by S.M. Stirling. Adventure. Very Good. It's the sequel to the Dies the Fire book I read on Saturday. The book just sucks you in and takes you to another world.

I am absolutely jealous of how many books you read! I will take several out the library at a time (optimistically), but am lucky if I get through one or two by the time they are due back. I guess having a toddler and infant is not very conducive to getting some reading done...how do you find the time???

Reading is a priority for me and I read fast. I don't have kids, but I don't watch much TV and I tend to let my household chores slide more than they should, I've tried to simplify my life alot to give me more time to read. I've always been a reader. Mom says I learned to read at 3. Not sure I believe that. I always feel that reading feeds my soul, it certainly is a huge stress reliever for me and I have a lot of stress in my job, so I need it.
