I'm happy to pay 2.22 for a gallon of gas

August 12th, 2005 at 03:41 am

Went into the office today stopped at Walgreens on the way and spent $1.88

Stopped at Souper Salad for dinner on the way home. Spent $6.11 but there's enough for 2 1/2 meals.

Next stop was Albertson's gas. I had planned to use the Exxon/Mobile $20 gift card that I got from Great Fun for gas, but there are no Exxon/Mobile gas stations in town. I looked in the phone book and not a one. I went to the Exxon website and according to them there are no gas stations within a hundred miles of my city. There are no Exxon/Mobile gas stations in the entire state of CO. Would have to go to Wyoming to find a station. Major bummer. Not sure what I'll do with the cards now. If I'd know I could have given the cards to my parents to take on their trip to Illinoise and Missouri they probably would have found a station somewhere on the road. I'll have to find out if they plan to take another trip soon.

On the drive into town I kept seeing signs for gas at 2.39/gal so was dreading the gas cost, but I know this Albertson's has some of the cheapest gas in town. I ended up paying 2.22/gal after my 3 cent discount from the Albertson's card. Spent $21.23 and was very happy to only be paying 2.22/gal instead of 2.30/gal

Total spent so far this month = $99.21
