creepy toys

Because it's so cold mom and I walk at Walmart most days in the winter time. When we walk in the toy aisle we both get creeped out because the toys start making noises when you walk past them. There's this one elmo doll that gives out a really creepy laugh when you walk by. I would think it would scare the kids. A couple of times it's made both of us jump. There are other toys that make noises as you walk by too and I think if I had to live with all that noise going off randomly I would go nuts. I like my house very quite. Nothing is playing unless I'm listening to it right then. I don't play TV or the radio in the background while doing other things.

At Walmart yesterday I picked up 3 free Oral-B flosses that will be donated to the food pantry. I also used a $4 coupon to get a Brita water filter pitcher. Regulary $8.97 and there is a $10 rebate so I will make money on this.

I finished reading a friends book Dark Futures The new John Connor Chronicles by Russell Blachford. Sci/Fi - ok.

Do you find the crowds at WM make walking there difficult? Or frustrating? In my town, there is a large group which mall walks on weekday mornings. The mall is not so crowded then, so I think that would be a pleasant place to get an indoor walk.

I have noticed you read a lot of sci-fi. Have you ever read ET Ellison?

I have read ET Ellison but not for several years. If we go in the mornings the Walmart is usually not very crowded. We live in a small town. The nearest mall is a half hour away.

I have a copy of one of his books, but I find it hard to get into. He seems to have quite a following though.

I was just curious because he is my birth mom's significant other. I have never met him.

I've never seen a Walmart that wasn't crowded, lol. But I'm glad it works well for you and your mom. Smile
