Walgreens deals

My grandma was staying at my mom's this weekend, so Friday and Saturday night I went over there and played cards for several hours.

Yesterday I stopped at Walmart for their specials of the week.

7.99 - Schick razor
.55 - tax

-5.00 - Schick coupon

3.54 - got back a $5.00 RR so made $1.46 I have 2 more coupons but I got the last one yesterday. I'll try again later this week to see if they've restocked.

4.99 - 50 Ct Aleve
.34 - tax

-1.00 - Aleeve coupon

4.33 - got a $2 RR

3.96 - 4 cans Van de Camp pork and beans
-1.96 - WAG coupon
-1.00 - Van de Camp coupon
-----
1.00 - .25 each - these go to the food pantry

I paid for everything with Walgreens gift cards on which I had rolled previous RR's so no out of pocket expense.

I finished reading my book Damia by Anne McCaffrey. Sci/Fi - good

I finished the library book Black Dragon by Allyson James. Paranormal romance - good

    Walgreens allows you to put RR on Walgreens gift cards? I don't shop there because the RR are for 2 weeks and I don't always get back in time to use them. CVS is one month so I have more flexibility.

    my walgreens allows that, 1 RR per item though but the gift card counts as one item. So if I have several RRs I have to buy enough items so each RR has an item to match it - usually I'll buy something very cheap like candy bars or if they have their mushrooms, mandarin oranges or spices on sale I use those for my fillers. The Walgreens cards have to be in increments of $5. It definetly helps to put the RRs on the card since I often run out of time before I find something else to use the RRs on. One of the cashiers told me about this when I was complaining about not needing anything and not wanting to spend my RR just to spend it.

    You can also buy other gift cards with the RRs too. I sometimes buy $10 Borders cards.

    Thanks, I'll have to ask my Wags if they will do this. They definitely do things their own way, if you know what I mean. I love gift cards and a borders gc would be a big plus.
