payback

April 4th, 2010 at 01:37 am

I went to my sister's today to celebrate several birthday's in the family. Brother's, brother-in-laws and dads. My niece came down from college. I don't give brother or BIL presents for their b-day, but I gave my dad a box of smoked salmon and $30 Red Lobster and $10 Subway gift gards. He's at a point where he doesn't want/need anything and likes food for gifts.

My oldest niece who is in college called my sister at midnight the other night and said she was in the back of a police car. My sister asked her if she'd been drinking and she said 'yeah, a lot'. Then she cracked up laughing and said she couldn't continue. April Fools!

When we were in our 20's my sister was always calling my mom on April fools day and telling her some horrible story and catching her with April Fools jokes several years in a row until mom finally quit believing her. My sister calls my mom and tells her about what my niece did and wants to know if she put her up to it. No, but mom says what a nice payback. Smile

Sister is always telling the girls all the stupid/bad/outragious things she did as a teenager and wonders where they get the idea to do the things they do.

Finished reading the library book Worth the Risk by Nora Roberts. Romance. Ok she has definitly improved as a writer since the 80s.
