exhausted

April 1st, 2010 at 07:25 pm

I can't remember the last time I was this tired. My mom and I went walking this morning and the wind was blowing so hard we really had to fight to move forward. We were both exhausted by the time we finished our walk. The weather guy says we will get gusts of up to 75 mph I think it was sustained gusts through our walk.

I planted some tomatoes today in the hopes of getting some good ones to eat this summer. 2 cherry tomato plants and two big girl plants. I put them in the windowsill to sprout and will transplant late May. Last year my garden got rained out I didn't get anything. My dwarf apple trees bloomed and I got 2 apples but the birds got to them before I did. This year I'm going to try tomatoes, corn, radishes, carrots, green onions, basil and parsley.

I did my March totals today. It was an expensive month. 2 Health insurance premiumns and car insurance put me over the $2000.00 total. April will be expensive too since I paid my property tax this morning - $1267.14. My net worth went up 2% for the quarter which is decent, if that continues it's 8% for the year.

I finihsed reading my book Pegasus in Space by Anne McCaffrey. Sci/Fi - disappointing. She spent at least a third of the book on a second plot line, where she was tracking down some sabateours and she had all this evidence and knew who it was and then at the end she just dropped it. Doesn't arrest them, doesn't talk about the final evidence on who all was involved, nothing. Waste of time to build up the plot and then just drop it.

I've been doing indoor planting, too: acorn squash and spaghetti squash today, and already planted basil, lettuce and brussel sprouts.

The darned deer ate my tomatoes and tomato plants last year!
